Children's Summer Sewing Classes - from 05 August to 09 August 2024 From 12 noon to 2 pm. FOR CHILDREN AGED 6 TO 12 YEARS OLD ONLY Falkirk Sewing Studio’s Children’s Summer Sewing Classes are for children aged 6 to 12 years old wanting to learn a new skill and have fun during the summer holidays. From students who’ve never stitched on a sewing machine to those who have, our friendly summer sewing classes are for students wanting to learn or build their sewing skills. With around ten children in a class and a tutor and helper on hand. Who it is for? The class is for children aged between 6 and 12 years old and they don’t need to have any previous sewing experience, just an interest and enthusiasm for learning sewing. This class is ideal for children who want to learn to sew or more experienced sewers who want to spend time improving their sewing skills. What will the child learn? Children will learn how to cut out and sew and confidently use a sewing machine to produce items to take home at the end of the week-long (Monday to Friday) course. Machine sewing will be taught Cutting skills More experienced sewers are welcome to dress make, bringing their own fabric and pattern so have a chat when you book your place. What do I need to bring? We will provide everything including a healthy snack and drink. Children can bring their own sewing kit if they want to. What is provided in the classes All materials and sewing supplies are included. A sewing machine for each child.
